Information about Alishea
Alishea is a first-year graduate student studying Social Work at the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. Her studies include Social Policy and Evaluation in Community and Social Systems. She currently has an internship at the Rackham Graduate School in the Dean’s office with projects around Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion and alumni engagement. Alishea is a founding member of Black Radical Scholars and serves as an e-board member for SCOR (Students of Color of Rackham) Additionally, she is a general body member of ABSW (Association of Black Social Workers). She has an MBA from Lourdes University in Sylvania, OH where she served as the President of the Lourdes University Alumni Association Board in 2019.

Toledo is her home, but her heart belongs to the world. She co-founded Black Radical Scholars in Ann Arbor, MI with a fellow MSW colleague and social justice advocate/activist. She loves empowering others to reach their potential. Using her life experiences as a catalyst, she is devoted to helping others reach their educational and business goals. Her vision includes one day writing a book (or many books) and being a speaker who can travel all over the world to share her testimony of overcoming obstacles, obtaining college degrees, learning to love, and being a student of life.
